It is the actual size of a votive candle or tea light. Batteries which last about 45 - 50 hours with intermittent use are included. They are not submersible. Batteries are included Battery powered with on/off switch. The light "flickers" to simulate a candle. Replacement batteries (each candle requires one) sold in cards of 5 batteries.
